ABOUT US

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

'Paths Together' is a sexual well-being advocacy network upholding the Human rights of adults with disabilities and their families to gain access to Sex Education, Relationship and Dating information.

The right to obtain access to see a sex worker is also upheld.

The network recognises diversity and sexual orientation and will respect the rights of Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Transgender and the Intersex community (GBLTI).

The network will be non-judgemental.

This is a fledgling network with the vision of supporting disabled peoples nationally throughout New Zealand.

Tom McAlpine is an English born, 24 year old who has an interest in sexology and supports those people with disabilities to embrace their sexuality.

Tom, who is openly gay, has seen that minority groups can lack access to vital services, through indirect ignorance rather than direct prejudice.

The time has come to change, and knowledge is power.

Tom hopes to see an improved change in the mental, physical and sexual health of other persons affected by disability, with the goal to increase their sense of well being and quality of life.

He currently resides in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
